From NCMC: Hurricane Irma Response
Hurricane Irma has wreaked havoc in the Caribbean Islands and Florida, destroying infrastructure, homes, trees, crops, and in some cases, everything in its path. Heavy rains, storm surges and flooding have caused even further damage.
The first islands in the path of Hurricane Irma were hit the hardest when the hurricane was Category 5 in intensity. As it passed through the warm waters of the Caribbean, it again increased to a Category 5 striking the north and north eastern parts of Cuba.

Rev. Cosmos Mutowa is the Coordinator of Nazarene
Compassionate Ministries (NCM) in Africa. The NCM
ministry is the humanitarian arm of the church and
concerns itself with serving social services function in
the Africa region. NCM’s initiatives and projects are
ongoing, as the ministry is a responsive one. This means
that NCM responds to specific needs in specific
communities as they arise. The NCM ministry’s efforts
are focused on five key areas, namely: water and
sanitation, child development and childcare, food
security, HIV/AIDS awareness, and human trafficking.
Please pray for those affected by the BC wildfires, for mercy and relief, for wisdom and safety for those battling the fires, for God's hand of grace in the midst of this firestorm
The Canada Pacific District Church of the Nazarene has officially determined that local churches in BC should send donations for the wildfires relief efforts to the Salvation Army in BC, which has established a website for such donations.
The Canadian Red Cross has established a website for online donations concerning the BC wildfires relief efforts.
