October 2011 Update

Just a note to say thank you for all the beautiful cards and letters and packages. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and your prayers for us and our families.
October this year has been cooler by far than last year when we arrived. I am sure that it will warm up as time goes by but we are enjoying it now.
We started the new school year with only three new students but we now have six and we are thankful for that. We are also encouraged by the inquires that promise for more as the term goes on.
The program with Africa Nazarene University will begin next month. We had a slow start but a few of the students needed to upgrade their maths. Dave is doing the teaching for this class. Please remember to pray for him. It has been several years since he has used that part of his educational training.
The photo is a small part of the graduation class in June. We had 54 grads. This included 19 resident students and 35 students from the extension programs from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
We are also thankful and glad to report that Dave's mother is doing better. She is sitting up and eating and will be moved back to the nursing home soon.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
Blessings,
Dave and Marquita
