Wallace (deceased) and Mona White were missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Papua, New Guinea (1959-1992). While in PNG, they planted many churches and started a Nazarene hospital that is widely respected and still in operation today (Kudjip Nazarene Hospital).
The work of the Church of the Nazarene also began in the Solomon Islands in 1992 with Wallace and Mona White (1992-1995). Across the 990 islands that make up this island nation, there is now an organized district with 12 organized churches, 15 mission churches and preaching points, and 320 members. Mona attended Southern Nazarene University (SNU) in OKC. She has two sons, Bob (Becky) and Stephen (Barbara), twelve grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Mona is an oil painter, and does not use a computer. She would prefer communication through regular mail and phone. Prayer requests:
