Merry Christmas to each and all!
This is our third year we are celebrating the birth of our Lord on the mission field. While we experience the joy of celebrating Christ no matter where we find ourselves during the Holidays this time of year happens to be the hardest to be away from family, friends, our country and culture. It also is the only time of year I miss snow!
While it may be hard on our family to be separated from those we love during Christmas we would not like to be anywhere else other than where we are; Haiti. We consider it an honor to serve in this country and among its people. We are especially thankful this year that the Lord has shown us that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive. Just this month we were able to see one of our Nazarene pastors and his family receive a very special gift for Christmas. We hope that as you read his story in this month’s Newsletter that you, too, will allow your hearts to be turned towards Christ in praise of all He has and is doing through the Church of the Nazarene/Work and Witness here in Haiti this Christmas and all year around. We pray that you, too, will have a greater recognition that it is, indeed, more blessed to give than to receive especially at Christmas time.
