Scot and Jill Riggins are missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene to the Melanesia Field, living in Papua New Guinea. Scot was appointed in August 2000. He works in the areas of field administration for the Melanesia and South Pacific Fields. Jill went to Papua New Guinea as a volunteer in August 2002 to teach high school missionary kids. Scot and Jill met in Papua New Guinea and were married in 2004. Scot grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on the Northeast Oklahoma District. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, with a B.S. in Accounting. He received his M.B.A. in International Finance from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. His call to full-time missionary service was confirmed through serving as a volunteer in Bulgaria, Israel, Portugal, and Germany/Switzerland (in the Eurasia Regional Office). |
Jill grew up on the Northeast Oklahoma District and the Northeast Indiana District. She earned a B.A. in Spanish Education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Her call to serve as a missionary was confirmed through various short-term mission trips to Central and South America.
