Tonya Kucey

Jan-17-2012 - Change of Canadian Regional Rep

As you may remember from her visits to a couple of our District NMI conventions, Rev. Tonya Kucey (from our Canada Atlantic district) has been Canada’s representative to the Global NMI Council. Tonya and her family have accepted a call to serve as Mission Corps missionaries on the Mesoamerica Region. Thus, in
December, she tendered her resignation. Process followed, the five Canadian District NMI Presidents elected her successor. 

Our new Canadian representative to the Global NMI council is Mr. Richard Bahan (from Canada West). Richard is a retired educator (teacher, vice principal, principal) in Calgary, serving on his District council as Vice President. He has a mission passion that is exercised through Work & Witness and NCM (Nazarene Compassionate Ministries). For those who may be familiar with his family, Richard’s sister is Dell Marie Wergeland, president of the NCM Warehouse in Victoria, BC. He is the son of Bill and Mae Bahan, a Nazarene pastor and former DS of Canada Atlantic.

We excitedly anticipate Richard’s leadership and pray for the Kucey family in this new chapter of their lives!
