Deputation project - Wedding Dresses! - from Marquita Mosher, January 17, 2012:  "I have a project that needs your help.  I would like to collect several bridal/wedding dresses (as well as veils) in various sizes to have for students and pastors.  Most of them do not have the means to purchase or rent these gowns since the cost is so prohibitive.  We would need them to be fashionable, not some from 20 years ago or more.  At some point I will turn these dresses over to some ladies who can begin their own business, renting wedding items (to pastors and students) at a price well below what is found here.  I will be teaching the wives of the faculty how to make wedding veils since these tend to become rather ragged after a while".

Bev Crossley adds: So ... for any of you out there with a recent (or fairly recent) wedding dress (bride, not attendants) that you would love to contribute to this ministry, please bring it or send it to NMI Convention at Rosewood on June 12th & 13th, 2012.  We will display a fabulous collection through which Marquita may “shop”. 
(Though our hearts may be in the right place, there could potentially be some donations that will not work and need to be returned. There is no desire to offend, but good in-style dresses are requested).  In addition, and to clarify, Marquita is also asking for headpieces and tulle to teach some ladies to make veils. Canada Central does love being able to meet specific needs ... let’s do it!
